Lino Kino LKTV

HOT•BED | MICRO•GALLERY

Lino Kino is a Philadelphia-based media arts collective

OPENING july 24, 2021 - CLOSING august 21, 2021

LKTV is an exploration of the artistic potential of public access television. Using legacy broadcasting techniques and equipment, Philadelphia-based collective Lino Kino will transform the HOT • BED Micro Gallery into a community media lab for the production of experimental broadcast art. Participating artists will reinterpret and rearrange the space to suit the needs of each live production. We encourage the public to visit the LKTV studio and view it as an ever-evolving work of installation art. Online viewers will be able to tune in to our full schedule of live and pre-recorded programming that will be broadcast throughout our tenure in the gallery. Lino Kino will assist anyone, regardless of video production experience, in the creation of their own show.

About MICRO•GALLERY

MICRO•GALLERY is an experimental exhibition space located on the second floor of HOT•BED that is devoted to immersive artistic endeavors. Primed for transformation, MICRO•GALLERY acts as a blank space; a no-limits playground for guest curators and artists to produce and exhibit innovative work. Acting as an extension of gallery programming, the small nature and intimacy of the space allows for a concentrated dose of risks, deviations and opportunities. MICRO•GALLERY accepts proposals from leading curators, artists and collectives on a rolling basis.
